12 weeks in: You've come so far

12 weeks in: You've come so far

hi mama,

Gosh you may only be 12 (nearly 13 weeks) into this but how far you’ve come! Pregnancy was tough but remember when everyone told you all that sickness would be worth it in the end, well it totally was!

You did everything you could to prepare for your birth, and even though it wasn’t the birth you wanted, no birthing pool, no dimmed lights, it was totally the right birth for you and Isabella. You tackled those contractions so well and even though the pushing was tough and it took you so much longer that it should have done, you birthed your baby girl confidently and calmly!

Those first few weeks were tough and you really should have asked for more help when you needed it! You expected too much of yourself and this really made you compare yourself to others and put way too much pressure on yourself! It really doesn’t matter if the house isn’t clean or you forgot to put a wash on, all that matters is that you spent all day making Isabella smile and making memories together.

Now you are 3 months into this, please make sure that you continue to go to baby groups, you continue to go for walks each day and you continue to make memories!

Please make sure you don’t put too much pressure on yourself and that you listen to your instincts. You know Isabella better than anyone else and you need to be confident in your parenting decisions!

Most of all mama, remember all those small mummy wins that make your day so much better and that mama, you’ve got this!
